Bratislava M.R. Stefanika

Bratislava M.R. Stefanika logoBratislava M. R. Štefánik is the main international airport of Slovakia. Since 1993 it has been named after general Milan Rastislav Štefánik. In 2013 the airport served 1,3 million passengers.
Preparatory works for the current airport started in 1947 and construction began in 1948. The airport was opened in 1951.
