Budapest Ferenc Liszt, formerly known as Budapest Ferihegy International Airport, is by far the largest airport of Hungary. In 2011 the airport was renamed in honor of Ferenc Liszt on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of his birth. In 2013, the airport handled 8.5 million passengers. It was the hub for Malév until the airline’s bankruptcy in 2012.
