Perth Airport

Perth Airport logoPerth Airport is a domestic and international airport serving Western Australia. With more than 12.6 million people travelling through the airport in 2012, it is the fourth busiest airport in Australia.
Prior to the opening of the Perth Airport, civilian air services for the city were provided from Maylands Airport. In 1938, land was selected and purchased for a new aerodrome. The site selected in what was at the time Guildford. Despite military use of the airfield, civil services operated by Qantas Empire Airways and Australian National Airways  commenced from the location in 1944. The airport received international status and was renamed to Perth International Airport in 1952.
