Casablanca Mohammed V Airport

Mohammed V International Airport is an international airport serving Casablanca, Morocco. With 8.6 million passengers passing through the airport in 2016, it was the busiest airport in Morocco. The airport serves as hub for Morocco’s flag carrier Royal Air Maroc, Jetairfly, Air Arabia Maroc and RAM Express. It is named after King Mohammed V of Morocco.
The Casablanca Mohammed V Airport was originally built by the United States in early 1943 as an auxiliary airfield and was named Berrechid Airfield. With the end of the war in 1945, the airfield was handed over to the civil government.
