Jat Airways was the national flag carrier of formerly Yugoslavia. Originally founded in 1927 as Aeroput, the airline ceased operations during World War II. The airline resumed operations in 1947 and was renamed to JAT – Jugoslovenski Aerotransport and in 2003 to Jat Airways as the Serbian flag carrier.
