Ljubljana Joze Pucnik logoLjubljana Jože Pučnik, also known by its previous name Brnik Airport, is the main international airport of Slovenia. It serves as the homebase for Adria Airways, the Slovenian flag carrier. Overall, the airport handled 1,3 million passengers in 2013.
The airport was officially opened in December 1963. It replaced Polje Airport, which served as the city’s airport from 1933. Regular flights from the new airport at Brnik began in January 1964.
