The Star Alliance is the world’s largest global airline alliance, ahead of SkyTeam and Oneworld, and is headquartered in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. It was founded in 1997, with its name and emblem representing the five founding airlines. Star Alliance has since grown considerably and its current membership includes 27 airlines. Star Alliance operates with the slogan: The Way The Earth Connects.
