Taipei Songshan Airport

Taipei Airport logoTaipei Songshan Airport is a mid-size commercial airport and military airbase located in Songshan, Taipei, Taiwan. The civilian section of Songshan Airport, officially Taipei International Airport, has scheduled flights serving domestically in Taiwan, and also to Mainland China, South Korea and Japan, with the vast majority of international flights out of the Taipei area served by Taoyuan International Airport.
The airport is the main hub for Mandarin Airlines, TransAsia Airways, Far Eastern Air Transport and UNI Air and handled in 2013 more than 6 million passengers.
The airport was built in 1936 with its origins as a Japanese military airbase. Shared military and civilian use, both domestic and international, began in 1950.
