Surabaya Juanda Airport logoJuanda International Airport is one of the major airports of Indonesia. The airport serves the greater metropolitan area of Surabaya. The airport takes its name after Djuanda Kartawidjaja, the last Prime Minister of Indonesia who had suggested development of this airport. Juanda International Airport is one of the busiest airport in Indonesia based on the aircraft movements and passenger movements. In 2013, the airport handled more than 17 million passengers.
The airport opened in 1964 as a naval air base of Indonesia.
