Havana José Martí Airport

José Martí International Airport, sometimes known by its former name Rancho-Boyeros Airport, is an international airport located near Havana, Cuba, and is a hub for Cubana de Aviación and Aerogaviota. It is Cuba’s main international and domestic gateway, and serves about 4 million passengers (2008). The airport is named in memory of patriot and poet José Martí.
In 1929 the construction of the airport was authorized and in 1930 the airport opened, replacing Havana Columbia Airfield.
