Cancún International Airport is located in Cancún, on the Caribbean coast of Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula. It is Mexico’s second busiest airport, but the biggest for international passengers. In 2017, the airport handled almost 24 million passengers. It is a focus city for Aeroméxico, Interjet, VivaAerobus and Volaris.
The airport was officially opened in 1974.
