Hong Kong Dragon Airlines Limited, operating as Cathay 
Dragon and previously as Dragonair, is an international airline; its main hub is at Hong Kong International Airport. The airline operates a scheduled passenger network to destinations across Asia. Cathay Dragon is a wholly owned subsidiary of Hong Kong’s flag carrier, Cathay Pacific, and is an affiliate member of the Oneworld airline alliance.
The airline was founded in 1985. In 2006, Dragonair became a wholly owned subsidiary of Cathay Pacific. In January 2016, Cathay Pacific announced it was rebranding Dragonair as Cathay Dragon. The Cathay Dragon brand became active in November 2016.
